Talk to your Bank statements
I Talk to My Bank Statements.
Last week, my Chartered Accountant sent me a query over WhatsApp while I was driving: "Can you send me a list of all high-value transactions from last year for me to verify?"
Normally, a request like this would annoy me. I'm a sucker for details. My brain would immediately fire off a series of frustrated questions: What's the threshold for "high-value"? Which accounts? What date range, exactly? The old workflow would be a multi-step nightmare of logging in, exporting CSVs, and manually filtering spreadsheets.
But not with Zehen. Not anymore.
Still in my car, I copied his message, pasted it into my Zehen telecontroller, and hit enter. In the background, an agent—a ZStep
—went to work. It accessed my financial data, applied a default "high-value" filter, and compiled a clean list of the relevant transactions.
And because this wasn't the first annoying question he had asked me this year, the ZStep
didn't just stop there. It automatically piped the formatted reply straight back to my CA's email. I had automated the final step a while back.
The entire loop—from his question to my answer—was closed without any further intervention from me. I continued my drive to the gym without ever breaking my flow.
This is the ultimate user interface for AI.
It’s not a fancy web app with clickable graphs. It’s a direct, conversational interface built on a simple, elegant idea: All your life should be data. And that data should be accessible via natural language conversations.
For those interested, under the hood, this is powered by simple python functions that work with underlying data. AI loves data. AI loves schema. AI loves examples. I give my AI agent, a philosophy primer, my schema and some examples to use this library. All in 1 markdown file. This is enough context for it to happily answer all my questions in natural language. I use this all the time to do exploratory analysis. I have tried very hard but yet to encounter a single bug in its execution. It’s clean specs, curated data and the Unix philosophy, on steroids with modern AI!
We spend so much time building complex dashboards when, most of the time, all we need is a straight answer to a simple question.
At Zehen, we believe the most powerful interface is the one that disappears, allowing you to operate at the speed of thought. It's about getting the signal without the noise, the answer without the friction.
What's the one recurring question in your life you wish you could just automate an answer to?
